Bosco’s Story

Bosco has been using his Watts of Love light every night since he received it. Not only has it given him light, but it has also allowed him to save lots of money. 

When the Watts of Love team visited Bosco several months after receiving his light, he was thrilled. 

He lives just a short walk away from the church Watts of Love was gathering at and was very proud to bring our team to his home. As soon as they arrived, the team was graciously greeted by his large family. Eleven people live in his home: His wife, himself, and their nine children. 

He was excited to save money by using the solar light instead of purchasing kerosene with many mouths to feed. He used his savings to purchase chickens. He then used those chickens to buy two goats. Soon, he will sell his goats and buy pigs. He says he wants the pigs to have lots and lots of babies so he can sell them! 

However, his big dream is to buy a better home for him and his family, and we can’t wait to see it.
